We received a request from a reporter with The Texas Tribute. I wanted to share this opportunity for anyone who may be interested. Here is a copy of her email:
” I am a reporter with the Texas Tribune, and alongside my colleagues at ProPublica, I am reporting on Texans who are struggling to get on Medicaid and how that is impacting their health. We’ve heard anecdotally that teens who rely on Medicaid to pay for their ongoing eating disorder treatment are running into issues when they lose coverage or are stuck on a waitlist to get back on.
I wanted to reach out and see if any of your board members or providers in your broader network see Medicaid patients and would be willing to talk with us about what they’re seeing and any impacts from the long delays in getting health insurance. Would you be willing to share this request or ask around about folks who might want to talk with us? ”
